Foam Fraud

I was asked to review a quotation for spray-in foam installation for a new domestic house. A certificate of approval for the spray-in foam was attached. Some aspects of the certificate did not seem right. On further investigation it became clear that an old certificate has been modified by “cut and paste” to suit a new unapproved product of east European origin. There are excellent spray-in products on the market. There are great contractors installing foam in accordance with their approval certificates. But on this occasion a product of dubious origin was being offered as an approved product with a “home made” certificate.
On this occasion Reinco has saved the client and / or main contractor a lot of money and pain. A copy of this fraudulent certificate has now been sent to the approval authority. Lets hope the fraudster gets just reward.
